What to Expect at Notary Signing?Upon arrival I will need to see and record information from your valid government issued identification. After confirming your identity, I will review the documents to be signed, ensuring they are completed in full aside from the portion that needs to be notarized. Once that is complete, as the signer you will affix your name and date to the specified area, and upon matching it to your signature on your proof of identification, I will sign as the notary, affixing my stamp to each area required. Full payment is expected after completion of services. If you do not intend to pay by card, please have exact cash ready.

Do I Need to Be Present to Have Something Notarized?Yes. In order to notarize a document, New York State law says the person whose signature is being notarized must sign the document in the notary’s presence. The person can’t sign the document ahead of time and then bring it to the notary. If you cannot be physically present for an in-person appointment, please consider Remote Online Notarization.
